Elizabeth (parents in red and blue) delivered on the 12th, and it was the most complicated birth I had handled in a long time. Shoulder dystocia, hemorrhage of 1,300cc, incomplete placenta etc. So, needless to say I was up with her all night getting her to recovery. But she was only 17, it was her first baby, and she was the strongest woman I have ever seen - didn't make a fuss even when the pain must have been near intolorable! I hope I am 1/2 as strong as her if I ever go through pain like she did!
Then, the next night Claire came in, and I delivered her baby as well. It couldn't have been more opposite! The head was out before I knew it, and the rest of the baby followed soon after. Bled only 250cc... Great birth. Claire was amazing through her labor as well, but it was a beautiful, uncomplicated one. (Which was good for me, since I had been up all night the night before with Elizabeth!)
Funny that they followed each other like that...

Claire's birth was just to show you that things can go normally! You always need one like that after a doosey like Elizabeth's!
